My approach
It is an honor to walk alongside you on the journey toward a deeper connection with your intuition, greater alignment in your life, and more fulfilling relationships.
I hold reverence for the significance of this work, but I also hold a lot of space for talking shit about your ex. This is wild work — letting someone into the most tender, vulnerable, and shadowy spaces of our inner worlds. I aim to bring the sincerity and awe that this work demands, with the humility and humor that we need to feel at ease.
MY FOCUS
I work with teens and adults seeking a slow, steady, and transformative approach to their care.
I specialize in working with sexual minorities, relational minorities, and gender minorities. This umbrella includes people who are LGBTQ+, in the kink community, sex workers, poly, non-monogamous, ace, intersex, non-binary, and beyond.
I also specialize in working with people exploring existential questions of meaning and purpose. This can feel like lacking direction, feeling stuck, and questioning your values.
my credentials
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Adler Graduate School. I am also a RYT-200 yoga instructor, and I completed my training at 612 Jungle.
I am a pre-licensed clinician working toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Madelyn Steen and Tanya Brown.
more about me
I believe that it can feel supportive and important to understand the intersectional identities held by our providers, so here is a little bit about me and the meaningful identities I hold.
I am a white, cisgender, queer woman in a hetero-presenting marriage. I am a fat person and I have experienced living in a body of various sizes and degrees of ability. I am a yoga instructor and I embrace movement of all kinds (but especially dance). I am a little woo woo, but I certainly appreciate the value that evidence-based practices bring to this work. I am a native New Yorker, so you’ll find that my communication style is perhaps a little more direct than you might find in a native Minnesotan.
Music, food, and sex are three of my favorite things to talk about. I have an incredibly cute (but very feisty) dog named Sunday who might pay you a visit during a virtual call. I’m always dreaming of a world where we can all feel like our most whole selves, and where we have the systemic infrastructure to support us all. This work is my small but mighty effort toward building that world.
